Sam Smith

HND in Sport and Exercise Science (Coaching Science)

SEN learning support and First Team at Bradford Bulls RLFC

It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to complete the course. I have completed work in the evenings around training and work. I’ve had to make sure throughout the course that the lectures are being watched as well as getting the assessments done.

The degree has allowed me apply my research findings and knowledge gained through lectures into my lessons with students. My students are benefitting from a better experience, which has improved my confidence in delivering higher quality lessons.

In the future I am going to be completing a School-centred initial teacher training (SCITT) course to become a PE teacher in my local area working with 4-19 year olds.
