Jodie Boyce, 20, believes her apprenticeship has provided her with a great career foundation.
According to Jodie, it was the right decision to opt for an apprenticeship. She said, "my apprenticeship is exciting, I enjoy it, and I am learning a lot".

In light of her experience at Loughborough College, Jodie would recommend the College to aspiring apprentices. "Having taken this course, I am much better equipped to handle my current job role, as I was unfamiliar with the business aspects when I began."
As a result of the apprenticeship route, Jodie has had a very positive experience, and she would urge others to consider it. "It is a great way to get work-based knowledge and experience. I would recommend apprenticeships to everyone considering as it's a more advantageous option than other routes," she said.
The support system at any institution is paramount, and Jodie knows she can count on Loughborough College if that need arises, "I do not require any extra support. However, if I do, I know that both Loughborough College and Board24 have great resources that I could use to get any support I need," Jodie said.
Jodie works for Board24, a corrugated packaging, sheet board and boxes manufacturer based in Coalville.
Board24 is a fantastic place to work, according to Jodie. "Everyone is lovely and welcoming, and they are always willing to help. I enjoy the fast-paced nature of the work, and I learned a lot in a short period."
As a customer service administrator apprentice, Jodie's responsibilities include: "handling orders, creating bespoke specifications, handling docket requests and filing, assisting others with their workload, maintaining inventory, addressing customer issues, and attending weekly meetings with the haulier."
In the future, Jodie intends to build a solid career; she said, "I would like to keep a stable job, with good pay that I can also progress in, and I believe that Board24 can offer me this."
