This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) advanced level course is a
mid-level accounting qualification, ideal for anyone who is looking to advance
their existing knowledge of accounting.
This Level 3 course is part of the National Skills Fund initiative and is
fully funded for eligible learners. Alternatively, you can apply for an advanced
learner loan to cover the cost of studying this course. Please ask a member of

and join in our success. The AAT offers courses that are highly practical and
tailored to the needs of the workplace. Each accounting course is a separate
qualification for which you receive a certificate. If you complete all stages
then you can apply for full professional status, which would entitle you to put
the letters MAAT after your name.
This course may be eligible for the new Advanced Learner
Loan.
This qualification covers a range of essential and higher-level accounting
techniques and disciplines. Students will learn and develop skills needed for a
range of financial processes, including maintaining cost accounting records,
advanced bookkeeping and the preparation of financial reports and
returns.
You will benefit from regular classes with a college tutor who will be
on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Regular discussion with
classmates will help to reinforce key points while also providing the additional
support and motivation that comes from being part of a group.

- Business Awareness
Study Method
Practice questions, downloadable lesson materials and interactive case
studies help to enhance the learning experience further and learners should
expect to spend around 5-6 hours studying independently online each week.
GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent (mature students may
be exempt from this requirement).
Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 Foundation Certificate in
Accounting or equivalent.

You must be a minimum of 19 years of age to study this
qualification
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) are the world's largest
professional body for qualified Accounting Technicians and people employed in a
variety of accounting and financial roles. It is also a popular route to
qualified chartered status. In fact it is sponsored by the main chartered bodies
(ICAEW; CIMA; ICAS; CIPFA) who work with AAT to ensure that the course meets the
necessary standards and thus gains valuable exemptions from these chartered
bodies.
The skills and knowledge you will gain throughout this qualification will
qualify you for roles including Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant and
Bookkeeper. You will also be eligible for AAT Bookkeeper (AATQB) status, giving
you the option to work as a freelance bookkeeper.
