The qualification will equip you with essential skills and knowledge to
succeed within a range of sectors within the travel industry. Assessment methods
include written assignments, practical tasks, case studies, and presentations.
Assessment criteria will focus on your understanding of
theoretical concepts
and your ability to apply them in real-world scenarios. On this course you will
be taught by a team of staff with a wealth of travel experience across a range
of sectors.
As part of this course you will engage in a meaningful work placement that
plays a pivotal role in honing the essential skills required for a successful
career in the dynamic field of travel and tourism.
Additionally, you will actively participate in a programme of visits and
guest speakers related to
the units you are studying. These experiences will
not only enhance your theoretical understanding but also provide practical
insights, fostering a comprehensive and well-rounded educational
journey.
Three GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including Maths or English.
Successful completion of this course opens up various pathways for further study or entry into the workforce. Students may consider pursuing our Level 3 Certificate in Travel and Tourism or explore specialised areas within the industry such as hospitality, events management, or aviation.
Upon completion of the NCFE Level 2 Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism, you’ll be well-prepared for entry-level roles in the travel and tourism sector, including positions in travel agencies, tour operations, hotels, and visitor attractions.
