Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Students to Experience Once-in-a-Lifetime International Visits
Thursday 17th September 2026

Life-changing international opportunities are on the horizon for Hairdressing and Beauty students across Loughborough College Group, following the award of another prestigious Turing Scheme grant.
Following an inspirational visit to Japan last year, this latest funding success will enable Level 3 Hairdressing and Beauty students to take part in exciting educational and cultural experiences overseas, including opportunities to visit Madrid, Spain, and Ubud, Bali, through a partnership with Think Pacific.
The international visits will give students the chance to broaden their industry knowledge while experiencing new cultures and developing valuable personal and professional skills. From exploring different approaches to the Hair and Beauty sector to gaining a greater understanding of other parts of the world, the experiences are designed to provide learners with a truly global perspective.
Curriculum Head for Hair and Beauty at Loughborough College, Hannah Williams said: “International opportunities such as these form an important part of Loughborough College Group’s ethos of high-quality education and training. Alongside the educational benefits, the programme will support students to develop confidence, independence, resilience, and cultural awareness.”
Established by the UK government, the Turing Scheme promotes international educational experiences for students across the country. Since its creation in 2021, the scheme has supported over 1,160 trips to over 160 international destinations.
