Loughborough College Group Commended for Outstanding Student Support Award

Loughborough College Group has been commended for the RCU Award for Support for Students at this year’s prestigious Association of Colleges (AoC) Beacon Awards, in recognition of our innovative Inclusive Futures programme.

The AoC Beacon Awards celebrate the best and most innovative practice among UK colleges, highlighting exceptional teaching, learning, and student support that make a difference in communities across the country.

The Inclusive Futures initiative was developed to promote a whole-college, student-centred approach to inclusion by embedding SEND and neurodiversity support across every stage of the learner journey. 

Judges praised Loughborough College Group for its holistic and student-centred approach, noting the “tailored staff training, inclusive curriculum planning, SEND forums, and celebration of neurodiversity through events and student voice, fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration.”

Finalists for the awards will be announced later this month, and winners will be shared at a national celebration event in the new year.
