We are immensely proud to congratulate sports alumnae Megan Jones, Morwenna Talling and Lilli Ives Campion, who have made names for themselves son the international stage as they played their part in England’s emphatic 33–13 victory over Canada in the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final this weekend.

The Red Roses delivered a commanding performance at the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham, lifting the World Cup trophy and showcasing the strength of women’s rugby on a global scale. Megan, Morwenna and Lilli’s contribution was central to England’s success, with Morwenna being highlighted for her impact as a back row in the nail-biting final. Their journeys from Loughborough College to international stardom is a source of huge inspiration for current and future students.

Women’s Rugby Head Coach at Loughborough College, Brad Jones praised the achievement, sharing: “This team has shown extraordinary resilience, passion, and unity throughout the tournament.

“Megan, Morwenna, and Lilli truly epitomise everything that makes the Red Roses and our Loughborough College alum so special – hard work, determination, and belief. They will all go down in history for their achievements, and they’ve made us all incredibly proud.”
