Monday 24th November 2025

Loughborough College Sport and Exercise BTEC student Harry Forster has returned from an unforgettable international experience after representing the England U17 Indoor Cricket squad on tour in India.
Harry, who is now in his second year on the College’s Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), spent two weeks competing in a series of exciting fixtures across several major indoor cricket venues, bringing together some of the most exciting young players from around the world, giving Harry the chance to test himself against top-level opposition while gaining invaluable international experience.
Reflecting on the opportunity, Harry said: “It was a great privilege and a proud moment earning my first England cap.
“We started the tournament really strong with a win that set a great standard for the rest of the competition, resulting in us finishing first in our group. I look forward to getting back to training and earning more England caps in the future.”
The TASS programme, designed to support young athletes in balancing their sporting ambitions with academic study has played an important role in helping Harry prepare for this level of competition. Through access to specialist coaching, strength and conditioning support, and academic flexibility, Harry has been able to progress both on the pitch and in the classroom.
With his international debut now behind him, Harry is already looking ahead to upcoming competitions and is determined to continue improving. His next goals include securing a place in future England age-group squads and helping to raise the profile of indoor cricket within the UK.
