This vocational course will help you to develop the knowledge, skills, and personal qualities needed to work in a care setting.
You will be learning to understand human growth and development through the life stages, exploring cultural diversity, developing effective communication skills, and exploring the impact of diet on people’s health.
This course involves work placements. Many assignment tasks are firmly based on this experience.
There is excellent tutorial support and access to additional support according to your individual requirements.

At least four GCSEs at grade D/3, including English and Maths.
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for courses involving work placement and will be required before going into employment.
Successful students could progress onto a variety of courses, for instance the CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care, or go directly into employment in the care sector.
