Engineering T Level Students Secure Level 4 Apprenticeships with Local Employers

Four Loughborough College T Level Engineering students have found success with local employer BRUSH Group, having been offered Level 4 Apprenticeships with the organisation.

Students Tyler Bale, Harrison Hastie, Zack Bull, and Francis O’Donnell have started their Level 4 Apprenticeships as Engineering Manufacturing Technicians with Loughborough College Group partner BRUSH earlier this month after completing their T Level course in Maintenance, Installation, and Repair.

Industry Specialist Account Manager for Business Development at Loughborough College Group, Joanna Knight, expressed her pride in the students’ new roles, sharing: “These achievements highlight the high calibre of students completing our T Level courses and going on to new and exciting challenges in their chosen industries.

“Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of industries whilst earning money, developing valuable skills, and increasing your employability.” 

Markus Mihailovs, another T Level student on the Maintenance, Installation, and Repair course, was also offered an apprenticeship with employer Sofidel, based in Leicester. Markus’s Level 4 Automation and Controls Engineering Technician apprenticeship was offered to him after impressing them during his T Level industry placement last academic year. 

The two-year T Level programme was developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to prepare students for the world of work. Launched in 2020, the courses act as a mix of classroom teaching and practical industry placements. Previous alumni from T Level programmes at Loughborough College Group have gone on to secure full-time work at Charnwood Borough Council and have progressed into higher education, including the Brooksby College Animal Management degree course.
