GCSE National Average Exceeded at Loughborough College Group

Students from across Loughborough College Group are being praised today for their fantastic achievements as they received their GCSE exam results which exceeded the national average.
Students achieved a remarkable 98% pass rate, with 273 English students and 163 Maths students earning the top grades of 9-4.
Level 2 Vocational and Technical students also received their results, with many expected to return for enrolment at the newly merged College Group in the coming week.
Loughborough College Group, which is made up of Brooksby College, Loughborough College, Stephenson College, and Melton Performing Arts, recently announced a successful merger which will strengthen the educational offering across North Leicestershire and beyond.
Corrie Harris, CEO of Loughborough College Group, expressed her pride in the students, saying, “It is fantastic to see our students’ hard work pay off, and we are incredibly proud of everyone collecting their GCSE results today.
“GCSEs are a vital stepping stone to success and employment, so it is essential that we provide our students with the tools they need to excel. Well done to all.”
Adult learner David Webb was thrilled to receive his results today, achieving a Level 5 in English and a Level 4 in Maths. He said: "I didn't have any qualifications before coming here, but I thought now is the time to prove to myself that I can do it. I put the hard work in and did my best. Now I'm going to stay at Loughborough College Group and study accounting."
