Staff and students celebrate GCSE results day 2025

Congratulations to all our Level 2 students, who collected their GCSE and Level 2 results this week.

We’re proud to share some of their inspiring stories below from across Loughborough College Group. Hear first-hand about their experiences studying with us, their reactions to their results, and the exciting next steps they’re taking in their journeys.

Seren
Animal Care student Seren celebrates her results

Seren Kelsan (Animal Care student)

Seren has achieved her GCSE English Language resit on her first attempt!

Not only that, but she has jumped 2 grades above what she originally achieved when taking her GCSEs in Year 11! This achievement also means that Seren can progress onto Level 3 Animal Management with us here at Brooksby.

Seren's tutor, Jason Barnett said; "Seren bravely chose to re-take her GCSE English, instead of opting for Functional Skills, because she wanted to push herself further than before. I'm certain that Seren will make a big splash in the Animal Care industry. Fantastic result!"

Having joined Loughborough College to undertake his Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English, this year David earnt a Level 5 in GCSE English, and Level 4 in GCSE Maths. He said: "I didn't have any qualifications before coming here, but I thought now is the time to prove to myself that I can do it. I put the hard work in and did my best. Now I'm going to stay at Loughborough College Group and study accounting."

Chinedu
Motor Vehicle Engineering student Chinedu celebrates

Chinedu, Level 2 Motor Vehicle Engineering

Here's what he said: "I came back to do my Level 2 because I wanted to see success. I am grateful to my Lecturers, Sadiqua and Lisa, they are the best and they are really committed to helping you understand. I'm grateful to the College because the teachers make learning so easy."
