This full-time, one-year course is aimed at 16-19-year-olds who would benefit from an additional year in general education, developing their employability and social skills.
Students on this course also improve their English, Maths, and ICT skills, alongside their main qualification. In combination, these skills prepare students to move on to other Level 1 courses or into employment.

The programme is accredited through Edexcel and students are given the opportunity to achieve externally accredited qualifications. Depending on progression routes, these qualifications are either awards or certificates.

No formal entry requirements but students will generally be able to demonstrate English skills at Entry Level 3, as well as a willingness to learn and progress.
