For students aged 16-18 or 16-24 with an EHCP.
The Vocational
Pathways course is designed to prepare students for further education or entry
into employment. This program provides students with a meaningful work
experience placement and offers a Level 1 Qualification focused on employability
or work skills. Students will complete projects that embed literacy and numeracy
skills, build confidence, and develop on trend skills in preparation for next
steps.
Students will develop the confidence, attitudes, and behaviours essential
for the workplace or next steps education, while studying Functional Skills or
GCSE English and Maths. This course equips students with vital skills and
experience to make an informed decision regarding progression destination.
CV Building and Job Skills: Learn how to create a
professional CV, prepare for interviews, and understand essential workplace
expectations.
Work-Ready Preparation: Focus on skills that make students
work-ready, including communication, teamwork, and time management, to succeed
in employment or further training.
Real-World Experience: Gain hands-on work experience in a
supportive environment, developing practical skills that increase
employability.
Transition ready: Preparation for next step journey either
within further education or employment by aiding the development of resilience
and responsibility.
English and Maths: Study English and Maths as part of the
course tailored to your working level.
No formal entry requirements but students will generally be able to demonstrate English skills at Entry Level 3, as well as a willingness to learn and progress.
Vocational Level 1 programmes, Supported Internship, or employment.
