Engineering Degree Students Enriched by Trip to Morocco's Solar Power Complex

In an exciting opportunity to explore cutting-edge sustainable technologies, students of Higher Education Engineering recently embarked on an enlightening journey to Morocco, where they visited the country’s world-class and largest solar power complex. This educational excursion provided them with first hand insights into the innovative advancements in renewable energy.

Offering our learners first hand insight to the advancements in renewable energy, students were able to take part in exciting and exclusive tours to four sites within the solar power complex, offering learners some invaluable perspectives on the future of sustainable energy.

Among the participants were students specialising in Sustainable Engineering, Higher Apprenticeships, and those pursuing HNC/ HND qualifications. This diverse group brought together individuals with varying levels of expertise and backgrounds, enriching the learning environment for all on the trip with diverse perspectives and insights.

For all students, the trip provided exclusive real-world insights into state-of-the-art renewable energy infrastructures, and learners gained a wider understanding of the relevance of their studies to the future of sustainable energy.

Engaging with industry professionals and witnessing the latest technological advancements has enhanced the academic journeys of our learners and equipped them with practical skills for their future careers.

Beyond the academic aspects, the trip also fostered cultural exchange and sense of personal growth. By immersing themselves in the vibrant Moroccan culture, the students gained a broader perspective of the world.
