REGISTRATION, SIGN UP& ENROLMENT

As we head into the new academic year, the next and final step in joining us is now on the horizon - Results Day and Enrolment.

Our plan over this period is to ensure that we take in all the required information needed for you to become a student with us, and also, most importantly, to ensure that we place you on the most appropriate course for your needs!

With this in mind we have adopted a three stage approach to this period - Registration, Sign Up and Enrolment.

Our aim is to make this process easy to follow, in order to ensure that all of our applicants are offered a place on the most suitable course for them.

Please follow the step by step guide to joining your course below.

REGISTRATION

If you have concerns over completing an Online Enrolment process then please do not worry as we will have an alternative option available. You just need to email admissions@loucoll.ac.uk or phone us on 01509 618375 to request this.

1.

register online

This will be the first stage of your enrolment process. We will send you a link to log in, create an account and then check and verify your personal details. All of which are required to complete an enrolment record.

As part of this stage you will be asked to upload a photo of yourself so we can create your student ID card (guidance will be provided on specification required).

We will also ask you to upload a copy of a form of identification, such as passport, birth certificate or driving licence.

2.

gcse results

We will need you to provide us with a copy of your GCSE results once you receive them on GCSE results day, Thursday 24th August. You will be able to upload these on your Registration account using the link we will send to you.

We would also ask that you bring them with you for your Sign Up meeting with the course tutor.

3.

sign up meeting

We will invite you to come in to college on a specified date and time. Here you will meet a member of the teaching staff from the course area you are looking to join.

They will review your GCSE Grades (which we ask you to bring with you again on this date) and then confirm with you what course option is most appropriate for you, and whether or not you will need to complete and additional qualifications (such as GCSE English and/or Maths) alongside.

We would encourage you to have your Parent/Guardian/Carer with you for this stage, so that we can ensure that all options discussed and the appropriate course is chosen.

4.

enrolment

Once the teacher has agreed a course and any additional qualifications such as English and maths with you, these details will be passed through to our Enrolment team. They will then formally register your place on the chosen course.

From the Sign-Up centre you will move over to the Enrolment room. Here a member of the team will check and confirm all your details are correct and then enrol you onto your chosen course.

After this we will generate an ID card ready for your first day in College. We will then have you log onto our system, creating a college password which will automatically set up and activate your College student email account.

I've changed my mind about courses, what can I do?

If you have changed your mind then we would encourage you to contact Student Recruitment on 01509 618375 or via email at admissions@loucoll.ac.uk. One word of warning though is that we are dealing with record application numbers this year, and there is a very high chance that a lot of our courses will be oversubscribed. Priority will be given to those who have already applied and accepted offers for each course.

Can a friend or family member register for me?

No, it is absolutely essential that you register in person, you must not arrange for someone to register on your behalf. It is vital that you are available for your Sign-Up meeting, as you are not guaranteed a place until you have agreed the programme of study with your teacher, and subsequently signed your agreement after enrolment.

Will I need to pay for my course?

If you are unsure whether you are required to pay tuition fees, please see our tuition fee table here.
