Role overview
The Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship is designed for those with some experience in care who are ready to take on more responsibility. You’ll develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours to supervise others, lead on care delivery, and provide high-quality, person-centred support.
This apprenticeship is ideal if you are looking to progress in your career, build leadership skills, and make a real difference to people’s lives in a wide range of care settings.
Entry requirements
We require all applicants to have GCSE grades C/4 or above in English and Maths or to demonstrate the ability to work at this level
If an Apprentice has not already achieved Level 2 (GCSE C/4 or above) English & Maths they must: - Study for and achieve Functional Skills Level 2 English & Maths at Loughborough College by attending classes onsite.
Exemptions for Maths and English can be made for apprentices 19+

Programme includes
Regular formative assessment, development of a portfolio demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace and a work-based project.
- Build advanced communication and leadership skills
- Learn to supervise and support colleagues in delivering care
- Gain deeper knowledge of safeguarding, duty of care, and risk management
- Understand and apply care planning and assessment processes
- Support individuals with complex care needs
- Develop skills in professional boundaries, coaching, and teamwork
- Prepare for your end-point assessment with portfolio building, knowledge test prep, and professional discussion practice

Enrolment is roll on roll off all year round, primarily based in the workplace.
