Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) Adult Care Worker

Role overview
The Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship is designed for anyone starting a career in health and social care. It provides the essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours to support adults with care and support needs in a variety of settings.
During the programme, you’ll learn how to deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care, while developing professional skills to work effectively within a team. You’ll also build confidence in safeguarding, communication, and supporting daily living, helping you to make a real difference in people’s lives.
This apprenticeship is ideal if you are caring, patient, and want to begin a rewarding career in the adult care sector.
Entry requirements
  
 We require all applicants to have GCSE grades C/4 or above in English and Maths or to demonstrate the ability to work at this level
If an Apprentice has not already achieved Level 2 (GCSE C/4 or above) English & Maths they must: - Study for and achieve Functional Skills Level 2 English & Maths at Loughborough College by attending classes onsite.
Exemptions for Maths and English can be made for apprentices 19+

Programme includes
  
 Regular formative assessment, development of a portfolio demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace and a work-based project.
- Learn how to provide person-centred care that supports dignity, choice, and independence
 - Develop communication skills to build positive relationships with individuals and teams
 - Gain knowledge of safeguarding, duty of care, and confidentiality
 - Understand health & safety, infection control, and wellbeing support
 - Build confidence in assisting with daily living tasks (nutrition, mobility, personal care)
 - Learn how to work as part of a care team and with families or professionals
 - Prepare for your end-point assessment through portfolio building and practice
