Role overview
The Level 2 Bricklayer Apprenticeship is the ideal starting point for anyone looking to build a career in the construction industry.
As an apprentice, you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to lay bricks, blocks and other types of building components, constructing and repairing walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures.
Training takes place both at Stephenson College and on-site with your employer, giving you the chance to learn from industry professionals while gaining real experience on live building projects. You’ll cover core skills such as interpreting drawings, setting out, mixing and applying mortar, and working safely to industry standards.
Programme includes
- Brick and block laying to specification
- Constructing walls, foundations, and decorative brickwork
- Reading construction drawings and specifications
- Working safely on construction sites, following health and safety regulations
