As an Apprentice Shop Fitter, you’ll work alongside our experienced and growing site team to learn and develop a wide range of practical skills within the shopfitting and interior construction trade. This hands-on role will give you experience in every stage of the fit-out process, from initial preparation through to the finishing touches.
Your training and day-to-day tasks will include:
- Site carpentry work, including door hanging, wall cladding, skirting boards, and stud partitions
- Furniture and kitchen fitting, including units, counters, and display areas
- Suspended ceiling installation, taping and jointing
- Basic painting, decorating and finishing works
- Floor laying and basic plumbing tasks
- Working collaboratively as part of a growing site team
- Maintaining site cleanliness and assisting in final clean-downs to ensure a professional finish for the client
Requirements and prospects
Due to this role requiring working away from home regularly, it is preferable for the candidates to be over the age of 18. Heavy lifting, long days. Need a positive work ethic and be able to deal with on-site culture. Need to be able to listen to instructions to get the projects done on time.
