     The course is designed to enable adults to develop their digital knowledge 
and skills to use in their personal lives and to support career development. 
Many jobs of today require digital skills and digital skills also play a key 
role supporting the workforce. 
Functional Skills Entry 3 and Level 1 will be delivered on 
the following days to meet your commitments. 
 
 The Digital Functional Skills Qualifications provide a foundation for 
progression to employment and further technical education.  
Learners will develop skills using Microsoft and other IT applications, 
preparing them for employment. 
   This programme has daytime or evening class options that you can 
attend around your existing commitments. 
 
Evening courses: Tuesday 
to Thursday at Loughborough College (8 weeks) 
Day course: Thursday at the 
Enterprise Hub Loughborough (10 weeks)
The course includes the following but is not limited to: 
  - Using Devices and Handling Information: Learn how to 
  navigate your devices like a pro, from organising files to finding the 
  information you need in seconds.
- Creating and Editing: Discover powerful tools to create 
  and edit documents, images, and more—whether it’s for work, study, or personal 
  projects.
- Communicating: Master the art of online communication, 
  from emails and messaging to video calls, and make every conversation 
  count.
- Transacting: Get comfortable with online shopping, 
  banking, and transactions—safely and securely.
- Being Safe and Responsible Online: Protect your data, 
  privacy, and personal information with tips on cybersecurity and responsible 
  online behaviour
   
  - Basic IT Skills 
- Candidates must be 19+ years of age at the start of the 
  course
