Entry and Level 1 Functional Digital Skills

The Digital Functional Skills Qualifications provide a foundation for progression to employment and further technical education.

Learners will develop skills using Microsoft and other IT applications, preparing them for employment.

This programme delivers the same total learning hours but gives you the flexibility to complete them over either four or eight weeks, depending on how much time you can commit.

Nine weeks: At Loughborough College Digital Skills Hub – Monday 9.30am - 5.00pm

The course includes the following but is not limited to:

• Using Devices and Handling Information: Learn how to navigate your devices like a pro, from organising files to finding the information you need in seconds.
• Creating and Editing: Discover powerful tools to create and edit documents, images, and more—whether it’s for work, study, or personal projects.
• Communicating: Master the art of online communication, from emails and messaging to video calls, and make every conversation count.
• Transacting: Get comfortable with online shopping, banking, and transactions—safely and securely.
• Being Safe and Responsible Online: Protect your data, privacy, and personal information with tips on cybersecurity and responsible online behaviour

• Candidates must be 19+ years of age at the start of the course
