For students aged 16-18 or 16-24 with an approved Educational Health Care
Plan (EHCP).
This course is designed to introduce you to a range of practical skills from
across the hair industry. You will develop skills across hairdressing and beauty
therapy, and have the opportunity to work in our commercially run salon gaining
vital first-hand experience and developing your customer care
skills.
Working in one of our on-site industry standard salons with real clients,
students are able to get hands-on experience of what it's like to work in the
Hairdressing industry from expert teaching staff who've come from the industry
themselves.
Modules include:
Introduction to the Hair sector
Create a Hair image
Shampoo and conditioning
Hair plaiting
The art of dressing hair
Salon reception duties
Styling women's hair
Work experience
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 2 or above
- For students aged 16-18 or 16-24 with an approved Educational Health Care
Plan (EHCP)
Students who successfully complete this course and achieve Maths &
English at grade 3 or above may progress onto Level 2 courses in
Hairdressing.
