For students aged 16-18 or 16-24 with an approved Educational Health Care
Plan (EHCP).
The Level 1 Diploma in Introduction to Health, Social Care is a one-year
course that aims to develop your knowledge and awareness of the health and
social care sector, with the aim of preparing students to progress onto higher
level courses in this area.
You will be taught using a range of methods to support and develop your
understanding. All learners are required to apply for a DBS as a part of their
work experience requirements for this course. This costs approximately
£50.
Based at Stephenson College, students benefit from expert lecturers who have worked in the industry themselves and have a range of expertise and specialisms.
