Want to launch your career as a hairdresser? Whether you need to learn
haircutting basics or gain specialist skills to move up the ladder, this
qualification is for you. This course covers everything from shampooing and
conditioning to styling and dressing, cutting colouring and creative
perming.
This course is open to learners who are aged 19+. It is essential to have kit
and uniform for this course to maintain professional standards. This will cost
approximately £55 for uniform and £215 for kit.
All eligible candidates should be able to qualify for free tuition. Please

The course runs on Tuesday and Wednesday evening 5.30pm-9.00pm.
Working in one of our on-site industry standard salons with real clients, students are able to get hands-on experience of what it's like to work in the Hair and Beauty industry from expert teaching staff who've come from the industry themselves.
Modules include:
Working in the hair industry
Health and safety
Client consultation
Promoting products and services
Shampoo and conditioning
Plaiting and twisting
Cutting women's hair
Colouring and lightening hair
Perming
The art of dressing hair
Creating an image
Retail
Related hairdressing theory
Work experience
Level 2 or equivalent in English. All candidates must be
aged 19 or older before the start of the programme.
Courses will run subject to sufficient numbers. Places
will be allocated on a first come first serve
basis.
Students can progress onto higher level courses Hairdressing or move into full-time or self-employment. Employment opportunities include commercial hair salons, product manufacturing and training, television/media/film/theatre, Armed services, cruise liners and more.
