Whilst training with our IGNITE Performing Arts Academy you will develop a diverse and varied range of acting and performance skills. You will build confidence in your abilities as a 'thinking actor' as well as a deeper understanding of the actor's role within different performance contexts.

Our specialist Performing Arts site is situated in the town of Melton Mowbray alongside our very own commerical performance space, Melton Theatre! The facilities offer a real indsutry-style environment for Performing Arts students to hone their craft and really thrive. Notable alumni include Adrian Scarborough (Gavin & Stacey, The King's Speech, Miranda, and much more!), Owen Warner (Hollyoaks, I'm a Celeb) and Shaka McFarlane (The Voice, Six the Musical)!

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English. Applicants are also required to attend an audition.

Progression

Learners may wish to progress onto our Performing Arts Degree course, which is delivered in partnership with De Montfort University. Alternatively, students may wish to progress directly into employment within the Performing Arts industry

Many of our past students have gone on to undertake a wide range of roles within the Performing Arts and Theatre industries, gaining employment with prestigious companies across the globe.

Previous students have successfully gained places at East 15, Mountview, AADA (New York and LA), Arden School of Theatre and Birmingham School of Acting. Others have successfully gained employment with BBC (Silk, Silent Witness), Channel 4 (Skins, Hollyoaks), HBO (Camelot) and the Disney Channel.
