For students 16-24 with an EHCP.

This course is designed for students ready to take the next step towards work or further education. Building vital life skills, this course introduces students to a range of potential tasters' areas, helping them explore their interests and prepare for future learning or employment. Students will also participate in creative enterprise projects that build job skills and encourage personal growth.


With a focus on practical skills, students gain hands-on experience through work placements in the community or in Café Chino. Alongside this, students continue their studies in Functional Skills or GCSE English and Maths.

Vocational Skills Taster: Get an introduction to various Level 1 subjects, including sports, digital skills, and craft-based work in our on-site workshop.

Enterprise and Creative Projects: Participate in creative and entrepreneurial projects that build employability skills and encourage personal growth, such as creating an escape room or charity fund raising projects.

Real-World Experience: Gain hands-on work experience in a supportive environment, developing practical skills that increase employability.

English and Maths: Study English and Maths as part of the course tailored to your working level.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements but students will generally be able to demonstrate English skills at Entry Level 3 and demonstrate a willingness to learn and progress.

Please note: This course is aimed at learners aged 16-18 and adult learners with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) identifying it as their chosen course. Adult learners are encouraged to contact Student Recruitment who will look at alternative Level 2 courses or if necessary Adult English and Maths courses that will enable them to join a Level 2 course afterwards.
