The vocational delivery of our courses enables you to get the very best out of your time with us. You will leave us 'work ready', having developed a great-skill set in arable agriculture and livestock, by learning the theory in practice, with real crops and real animals. The occupational specialism for this T Level programme is Livestock.
Brooksby College is home to a working mixed arable and livestock farm, with students getting involved with every apect of the animal and crop husbandry process. We have our very own flock of sheep and herd of cows, with busy lambing and calving seasons to get involved with every year. We're also proud to run an innovative agroforestry project, through which students learn about sustainability and regenerative agriculture - preparing you to be at the forefront of the industry.
The qualification consists of one core pathway and one occupational specialism (livestock). Students will also undertake a 315 hour work placement as part of the course.
5 GCSEs at a grade 4 or above, including English and Maths
Upon successful completion of this course, students may progress onto university, apply for an apprenticeship, or enter into employment within the industry. Previously, our Agriculture students have gone on to work as shepherds, herdsmen, tractor operators, agricultural representatives, estates managers and teachers.
