The Level 3 Technical Qualification in Education and Childcare will provide students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment, higher-level technical training or study in the education and childcare sector.

The occupational specialism of this T Level is Early Years Education, which consists of a blend of classroom-based and practical learning, in addition to a work experience placement.

T Levels are courses that follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A Levels. They've been co-created by the industry you want to be a part of, so you can gain the knowledge and skills you need to leap ahead of the crowd and into your desired career.

Course Content

This course will allow you to explore how children develop and learn from birth to age 19, guided by expert research and classroom experience. You'll cover key areas like social interaction, behaviour, language development, safeguarding, and special educational needs - plus the role of families and support agencies.

You will gain practical skills in planning activities and understanding learning styles, with hands-on experience in our Early Years Discovery Den.

The course also includes a 45-day industry placement, allowing you to apply your learning and gain insights from professionals in the field.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSE grade 4 and above incluing Maths and English

Progression

Following a T Level, students will have gained the skills of to work confidently within an educational setting. Career opportunities may include:

Early Years Officer

Childminder, Nanny, Au Pair

Support Worker

Working with children with SEND

UK or Abroad holiday club for children

Disney Cruise ship, Disneyland, Ski resort, Lapland Elf

Successful completion of this course would also allow students to progress to univeristy or into an apprenticeship or full time skilled work within the Educationa Childcare industry.
