A student who was once branded unteachable in school has told the BBC how Loughborough College has changed his life as he reached his latest culinary competition final.

Brannon Underwood, 18, a catering and hospitality student, was being interviewed by BBC Radio Leicester about reaching the final of the prestigious Zest Quest Asia Tilda Challenge.

When asked what difference Loughborough College had made to him, Brannon told the station’s Breakfast Show: “I’m getting better every day. It’s changed my life a lot really. Because it’s more physical work, and I’m not in the classroom with my head in a book as much, it’s a lot calmer.”
