Caring Services Learners to Showcase Skills at World Skills Competition

A cohort of ten talented Caring Services students have stepped up to represent Loughborough College at this year’s national World Skills Competition.

Learners Chloe Patton, Dhuvi Narotam, Ella Allen, Ellie Overton, Lily Peberdy, Mia Tanner, Mohanad Nassar, Nunu Malik, Patryk Rabiczko, and Princess Capua will all be flying the flag for Loughborough College at the National Qualifiers, taking place in June. If they are successful, they will go on to the national finals held in Manchester at the end of the year.

They will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Level 3 Health and Social Care learner Bethany, who made it to the finals of last year’s competition in Wigan.

Curriculum Manager for Caring Services, Sharon Geary-Neal shared, “We're thrilled to announce that ten of our caring services learners have stepped up to represent us at this year's World Skills competition! They've poured their hearts and minds into crafting outstanding PowerPoint presentations, sharing their aspirations, career goals, and the invaluable skills they aim to develop through this journey.”

In these presentations, our learners showcased not only their ambitions and drive, but also their commitment to personal and professional growth. They emphasised the importance of communication, empathy, and resilience – essential qualities in the field of caring services.

Sharon continued, “This opportunity isn't just about competition; it's a chance for our learners to hone their abilities, broaden their horizons, and make a lasting impact in their chosen field.”

We can’t wait to see how our group of fantastic learners get on!
