College Graduates Shine as Red Roses Clinch Grand Slam Hat-Trick

With the support of two talented College alumnae, the England women's rugby team, affectionately known as the Red Roses, has secured their third successive Grand Slam title in the Women's Six Nations Championship.

Among the stars of the victorious squad were College graduates, Morwenna Talling and Megan Jones. Their stellar performances throughout the tournament played a pivotal role in securing yet another historic triumph for the Red Roses.

Brad Jones, Head of Women’s Rugby at Loughborough College, expressed his pride, sharing, "It's truly remarkable to see Morwenna and Megan excel at the highest level of women's rugby. Their dedication, talent, and hard work have undoubtedly contributed to their success on the international stage."

The final fixture, that saw England take home the title was a 42-21 victory against France in Bordeaux. The team extended their championship winning streak to a staggering 29 games, and it was centre Megan who helped keep a comfortable point distance from the home nation, grabbing a try.
