College Group Students Celebrate Year of Hard Work with Awards Ceremonies
Wednesday 1st July 2026

Following a year of hard work, dedication and commitment, Further Education students from across Loughborough College Group’s four campuses have been celebrated for their successes at several course-specific ceremonies.
Starting with a celebration of our Performing Arts provision, IGNITE, students were joined by their families and friends, who enjoyed presentations and awards at Melton Theatre.
In the following days, similar personalised ceremonies were held at Brooksby College, Stephenson College, and Loughborough College, celebrating a year of inspiring and memorable achievements in courses including Animal Care, Construction, Hair and Beauty, Sport, Public Services, A Levels and more.
Tutors and Curriculum Managers shared anecdotes and memories with the students, reflecting on the times they’ve shared in the classroom, as well as the skills and knowledge developed.
Corrie Harris, CEO at Loughborough College Group highlighted the importance of students taking time to reflect on their success with their peers.
In her speech at Wednesday’s Caring Services presentation at Loughborough College, Corrie encouraged learners to consider their journeys at Loughborough College Group, and to be proud of how far they have come over the last year.
She shared: “You should be so proud of yourselves. This event is testament to the resilience and determination you’ve all shown. Each of you have navigated challenges, embraced opportunities, and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to your studies.”
Across a total of 16 moving, heartfelt, and inspiring ceremonies, curriculum areas had time to celebrate their achievements, with awards being handed out for Student of the Year and Most Improved in each class.
Speaking after the A Levels presentation, Maths student Dhruvi Mistry – who was presented with the Best Contributor award – said: “I’m really proud of my award. I put in a lot of effort to improve, and my teachers have been so helpful, putting on extra classes to build our confidence around exam time.
“Meeting new likeminded people has helped me build lasting friendships, and now I’m excited to hopefully study Medicine at the University of Leicester.”
Following the ceremonies, learners, friends, and family were able to appreciate the good weather and enjoy refreshments and treats.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026 – we wish you all the best with your next steps!
