A Cut Above the Rest! College Group Salons Celebrate Platinum College of Excellence Status

Staff at the Loughborough College Group’s Brooksby and Stephenson Colleges are celebrating the exciting news that salons on both sites were once again awarded Platinum College of Excellence status by the renowned Ragdale Hall Spa.

This prestigious recognition, given to only a small number of colleges across the country, highlights the exceptional standard of Beauty Therapy training and the strong industry links built between the College Group and Ragdale Hall Spa.

Over the past academic year, students and staff at both Brooksby and Stephenson Colleges have taken part in a range of opportunities with Ragdale Hall Spa, including careers presentations and workshops. These experiences have provided learners with invaluable insights into the industry, and helped them to prepare for successful careers in their chosen profession.

The Platinum award also offers further benefits for the students and staff members, such as specialist CPD opportunities for lecturers, skill sharing with teaching staff to bring fresh knowledge back to the classroom, specialist masterclasses and work experience opportunities. This success follows on the news of Loughborough College, which maintained its own Platinum College of Excellence status last year.

Vanessa Stallard, Beauty Therapy Lecturer based at Brooksby College shared her excitement about the certification, stating: “We are delighted to have maintained our Platinum College of Excellence status once again. Our ongoing partnership with Ragdale Hall Spa ensures our students can gain outstanding training and opportunities that can lead them into careers with confidence, expertise, and experience.”
