Students from our Loughborough College-based Golf Academy showcased a host of fantastic performances over the past weekend, securing wins and high finishes at the Association of Colleges (AoC) Intercollegiate Tour National Finals.
Level 3 BTEC in Sport and Exercise Science student Gabbie Crowfoot led the charge, clinching 1st place for the Girls Best Individual Nett category.
Joining Gabbie in representing Loughborough College were Level 3 Sports Coaching and Development student Joe Donovan, who finished 11th in the Boys Individual Nett, and A Level student Harry Midgley, who also secured a top 30 finish amongst competitors from across the country.
George Halfpenny, Head Coach at Loughborough College, said: “AoC Sport, in collaboration with the Intercollegiate Tour (ICT), continues to provide an outstanding competitive platform for students across the country.
“This is an invaluable opportunity for our students to compete at a high level, develop their performance under pressure, and showcase their talent on a national stage. These are fantastic results and a real reflection of the hard work, commitment, and talent within our Golf Academy programme.”
The AoC Sport and Intercollegiate Tour partnership delivers a high-quality competitive golf experience through six regional events, giving teams and individuals across the UK the opportunity to qualify for the prestigious National Finals.
