The Loughborough College co-founded national campaign, Good for Me, Good for FE has been shortlisted for the Social Innovation Partnerships award at the fifth annual Social Value Awards.

Founded by London South East Colleges, East Coast College and Loughborough College in 2021, the aim of the Good for Me, Good for FE campaign drives a sustainable programme of community action in colleges across the UK.

Now in its fifth year, the Social Value Awards rewards organisations and individuals doing good in their local communities and recognises those going above and beyond to provide value to their regions.

Following unprecedented sector response, where over 80 colleges pledged their support to the initiative, Good for Me, Good for FE has so far made £2.18 million of social value, raised £157,000 in funds, donated over 99,000 items to foodbanks, and 118,000 hours of volunteering have been completed.

The campaign now works with over 130 colleges nationwide and counts The FA, Scouts, and NCFE amongst its charity and corporate partners.

Winners of the Social Value Awards will be announced on Tuesday 13 June at a special event in London.
