Local employer Beauty Temple paid a visit to the Radmoor Beauty training salons at the College to provide enrichment training in pregnancy massage for Level 3 Beauty Therapy learners.
Pregnancy massage is a sought-after skill, especially in beauty salons and spas, and this training has afforded learners the opportunity to get hands-on experience with working professionals, enhance their skill sets, and offer the opportunity for industry experience ahead of graduating.
Learners spent the morning covering the theory of pregnancy massage techniques and the benefits of the treatment to both mother and baby. Following this, the afternoon was a chance to practice the techniques and treatments on each other.
Zoe from Beauty Temple expressed just how impressed she was with the standard of the students.
Beauty Therapy lecturer Louise Costigan shared her reflections on the session, “The students really enjoyed this massage, and embraced the relaxation aspect. This has increased their industry experience and prepared them for employment. Beauty Temple also expressed just how impressed they were with the standard of our students”.
Well done to all the learners for growing their skills with this exciting experience.
