Today, Thursday, 6 April, Loughborough College has been shortlisted for two accolades in the Craft Guild of Chefs 2023 Awards in recognition of its talented hospitality and catering team.
The winners will be announced on Thursday, 1 June, at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
The Loughborough College Hospitality and Catering team has been shortlisted alongside two other colleges for the new ‘Accredited College Restaurant of the Year Award.’ Darren Creed, Curriculum Manager, has been shortlisted for the Chef Lecturer Award.
These prestigious awards are the Oscars of the chef industry. They aim to recognise the outstanding talent of apprentices, young chefs at the start of their careers, and experienced chefs with extensive careers in hospitality, pubs and restaurants.
There are 17 awards categories, and the Craft Guild of Chefs will present a Special Award to the chef who has gone above and beyond and made a significant contribution to the industry.
