Lawrence is presented with a certificate by Alka

Students on the T Level in Digital Production, Design, and Development course hosted their first pioneering outreach event last week, welcoming members of the public to a Digital Community Drop-in session.

Held at the Careers and Enterprise Hub – a partnership between Loughborough College and Loughborough University – students introduced local people to simple but effective ways to get the most from their devices. From encouraging attendees to learn top hints and tricks on their mobile phones to supporting in upskilling on desktop and laptop technology, T Level learners showcased their own knowledge and skill-sharing abilities.

Student Lawrence Pawley-Cartwright designed, coordinated, and delivered the successful event, supported by Careers and Enterprise Manager Alka Prinja. To celebrate Lawrence’s innovative initiative, the team presented him with a certificate recognising his hard work and dedication to skill sharing and community outreach.

Digital Curriculum Manager Jesse Jackson shared: “The drop-in session was a huge success, and our students were fantastic. They were friendly and confident and made a real difference in the lives of the community members who joined us. It was great to see their enthusiasm for what they’ve learnt shine through.”

The Careers and Enterprise Hub is based in the centre of Loughborough’s Market Place, supporting individuals who want to boost their careers or get into work. Experts from the College and the University provide guidance, training, and mentoring to those looking to start businesses or explore upskilling to enhance their career options.
