Beauty therapy students will have opportunities for crucial work experience at prestigious Ragdale Hall after Loughborough College was awarded ‘College of Excellence’ status by the famous spa.

The College’s Beauty Therapy course was praised by Ragdale Hall as an outstanding provider and partner for the quality of teaching and the quality of learners who have worked at the spa, near Melton Mowbray.

The College of Excellence award, which is handed out annually, means students have incredible work experience opportunities, presentations, tours and discounts at Ragdale Hall.

Claire Springthorpe, Beauty, Hairdressing, Barbering and Sports Massage Curriculum Manager at the College, said: “We’re so pleased to have retained our College of Excellence status which opens the door to so many opportunities for our learners. The quality and standards at Ragdale Hall are renowned throughout the country so the work experience our students get is invaluable for their growth and development.”

Lynne-Marie Gallagher, Ragdale Hall Spa Training and Development Supervisor, said: "Loughborough College has been awarded ‘College of Excellence’ status for their continued commitment and dedication to both their students and Ragdale Hall Spa. Especially during these more challenging times, and in ensuring their students successfully completed training.

"Each year we visit the students at college to carry out a career presentation and evaluate the skills of those who are interested in a week-long work placement with us – a valuable opportunity to experience one of the UK's busiest and most highly regarded spa beauty environments.

“What’s more, only an approved College of Excellence can enter their carefully chosen students into the annual Ragdale Hall Student of Excellence competition, which offers an unprecedented package of employment and training with Ragdale Hall, plus other benefits, to the winner and selected runners up.”
