Loughborough College’s degree programmes have once again achieved outstanding results in the latest National Student Survey (NSS), outperforming the sector average in every category of student experience.
Students were asked 27 questions around teaching, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, academic support, resources, and student voice as part of the in-depth research by the Office for Students (OfS). These answers follow last year’s stellar results, meaning Loughborough College has once again exceeded both the sector average and benchmark in all these areas.
One of the standout results was in teaching quality, where students awarded an exceptional 90.6% satisfaction, significantly higher than the sector average of 87.3%.
Corrie Harris, Principal and CEO of Loughborough College, said: “These results are a remarkable testament of the dedication and passion of our Higher Education team. Their tireless commitment to delivering a high-quality, student-focused experience is at the heart of everything we do, and I am incredibly proud of their work.”
Chris Cockerton, Dean of Higher Education, added: “We are delighted that our student-centred approach continues to be recognised so strongly. The NSS results are a reflection of our team’s hard work, particularly in areas such as academic support and wellbeing services. I am especially proud of the recognition given to our mental health and wellbeing provision, which highlights the vital work of our welfare team.”
Other highlights from the 2025 survey show:
- 95% satisfaction rate with academic support (sector average: 89%)
- 93% satisfaction rate with organisation and management (sector average: 81%)
- 92% satisfaction rate with assessment and feedback (sector average: 82%)
- 92% satisfaction rate with learning opportunities (sector average: 85%)
The NSS gives students the opportunity to rank their higher education provider at the end of their education journey. Every university in the UK takes part in the survey, as do many colleges, in what is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
Loughborough College’s Higher Education Centre offers a range of undergraduate programmes in, Sport, Engineering and Sustainable Engineering, Business and Management, Public Services, Criminology and Psychology and Early Years Education.
It’s not too late to get a degree at Loughborough College.
