APPRENTICESHIPSUMMARY
As a sports coach apprentice, you will provide sports opportunities to children throughout the school. Running a range of breakfast or after-school clubs and promoting active lifestyles in the school community. You will liaise closely with the PE leader and the class teachers to ensure that all children are getting an effective sport education.
- Support the provision of high-quality sports coaching
- Involve all children in PE and adapt lessons for different abilities
- Feedback to students on performance to help them improve techniques and understanding
- Improve links with local schools and partners to help with competitive sport and physical activity provision
- Increase physical activity levels within the school
- Support the PE Coordinator regarding intra and inter school events
- Assist the school in its day to day duties

Additional training may take place at Loughborough College to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours every other Wednesday. Please ensure you are able to travel before applying. You will be employed to work with children full time in a school as a member of staff, not a student. Any offer of Apprenticeship will be subject to a full DBS and Satisfactory References.
