  • Health and safety
  • Consultation
  • Cut men’s hair
  • Cut facial hair
  • Specialist hair and scalp massage (Level 4 unit)
  • Wet shaving
  • Financial effectiveness
  • Creative patterns in the hair (Level 4 unit)

Entry
Requirements

  • A Level 2 in Barbering or a Level 3 in Hairdressing, plus GCSE (or Functional Skills) English and maths at grade C/4

You will also need to purchase a dolly head and barbering kit if you do not already have one. This can be purchased through the College as a kit at a cost.

Progression
Opportunities

Upon completion of this course, you can further your skills by progressing on to additional short specialist courses, or by entering the Barbering industry, self-employment as a barber or session barber, assessor or trainer.
