This full-time programme of study builds on the skills gained at Level 2. You will learn the art of men’s hair and facial hair, wet shaving and hair and scalp massage techniques, whilst exploring current and emerging trends within the Barbering industry.

- Health and safety
- Consultation
- Cut men’s hair
- Cut facial hair
- Specialist hair and scalp massage (Level 4 unit)

- Financial effectiveness
- Creative patterns in the hair (Level 4 unit)

Requirements

A Level 2 in Barbering or a Level 3 in Hairdressing, plus GCSE (or Functional Skills) English and maths at grade C/4
You will also need to purchase a dolly head and barbering kit if you do not already have one. This can be purchased through the College as a kit at a cost.
Progression
Opportunities
Upon completion of this course, you can further your skills by progressing on to additional short specialist courses, or by entering the Barbering industry, self-employment as a barber or session barber, assessor or trainer.
