This full-time programme of study builds on the skills gained at Level 2. You
will learn the art of men’s hair and facial hair, wet shaving and hair and scalp
massage techniques, whilst exploring current and emerging trends within the
Barbering industry.
This course also offers
- Visits to national hair shows
- Demonstrations and workshops from specialist Barbers
- Opportunities for work experience (if you are already working in a barber shop this can be used as work experience)
You will study towards the following units:
- Health and safety
- Consultation
- Cut men’s hair
- Cut facial hair
- Specialist hair and scalp massage (Level 4 unit)
- Wet shaving
- Financial effectiveness
- Creative patterns in the hair (Level 4 unit)
You will also need to purchase a dolly head and barbering
kit if you do not already have one. This can be purchased through the College as
a kit at a cost.
Upon completion of this course, you can further your skills by progressing on
to additional short specialist courses, or by entering the Barbering industry,
self-employment as a barber or session barber, assessor or
trainer.
