For students aged 16-18 or 16-24 with an approved Educational Health Care
Plan (EHCP).
The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with the knowledge and
understanding to progress to further training in Carpentry and Joinery at Level
2, and then into an apprenticeship or employment within the
industry.
Learners study in state of the art workshops that reflect what they'd find in the Construction industry, allowing them to be prepared for entering the industry once qualified. All lecturers are experts within their trades, bringing a wealth of skills and knowledge from industry into the classroom.
Modules include:
Construction Health and Safety (this will enable you to apply for a Construction Operative Card CSCS)
Skills for Carpentry and Joinery
Further Skills for Carpentry and Joinery
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 2 or above
- For students aged 16-18 or 16-24 with an approved Educational Health Care
Plan (EHCP)
Successful completion of this course will allow learners to progress onto a Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery qualification or move into an apprenticeship to study at the next level in industry.
