Level 1 Multi-trade provides the ideal introduction to the Construction industry and covers essential skills in the following trades: Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Plastering, Painting and Decorating, Construction Operations, Wall and Floor Tiling, Electrical and Plumbing.
These qualifications are suitable for individuals of any wanting an introduction to the variety of construction trades, to gain skills in those areas and perhaps to decide which trade is the right one to pursue a career in.
Learners study in state of the art workshops that reflect what they'd find in the Construction industry, allowing them to be prepared for entering the industry once qualified. All lecturers are experts within their trades, bringing a wealth of skills and knowledge from industry into the classroom.
Modules include:
Basic Health and Safety
Principles of building
Introduction to Carpentry skills
Introduction to Bricklaying skills
Introduction to Plumbing skills
Introduction to Painting and decorating skills
Plus a range of other construction skills
GCSE English and Maths at grade 2 or above
Successful completion of this course will allow learners to progress onto a Level 2 Construction trades course or move into an apprenticeship to study at the next level in industry.
