Loughborough College is offering an exclusive opportunity to view the work of talented art students.

An exhibition featuring around 100 exciting 2D and 3D art and photography pieces will go on display to the public for one day only in the College’s Arts Academy Theatre.

“Having exhibitions offers us the chance to get feedback on the work we have done so far and boosts our confidence,” said Aimee Williams, 17, who is in the first year of her Art and Design BTEC course.

“The College has inspired me to take my talents further and go on to university to study fine art.”

A-level Art student Zak Reilly, also 17, is helping set up the exhibition. “I like to help put our college exhibitions together. I think it’s a valuable addition to my CV too and it’s also good preparation for exhibiting when I get to university.

“Loughborough College has helped me believe I can work independently and that has really benefited me creatively.”

Eliza Redding, 17, is in her second year of her Art and Design BTEC and agrees that studying with the College has helped her develop significantly as an artist. “Being at the College has given me an insight into expressing yourself through art and helped me develop the skills to enable me to do that.

“Hopefully this means I will be able to continue growing as an artist at university and beyond.”

Loughborough College Art lecturer Tony Cheetham added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the public to view the developing talent and creativity we have on our arts courses.

“Everyone is very welcome to come along and support our students.”

The Visual Arts Exhibition will take place in the Arts Academy Theatre, Loughborough College on Thursday 27th October between 8:00am and 9:30pm
