Loughborough College is honoured to have been named as winner of a Ministry of Defence ERS Silver Award in recognition of its support of the armed forces community in the workplace.

The College currently counts a number of military service leavers amongst its staff and has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, pledging support to current and future employees.

Loughborough College CEO, John Doherty, said: “It is a real honour to receive the Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award.

“We are proud of the College’s long-standing support of members of the Armed Forces – including reservists, Service leavers and cadet force volunteers.

“Following our signing of the Armed Forces Covenant, this Silver award is a further significant milestone in our continuing commitment to the military community.”

Audrey Traynor, Loughborough College Chair of Governors, added: “The ERS Silver Award marks our ongoing and wholehearted support for the Armed Forces community, past and present and we are honoured to have received this recognition from the Ministry of Defence. ”

The ERS Silver Award will be formally presented to Loughborough College at a ceremony to be held later this year.
