Posted: 14th February 2017 - 2:13pm

BBC Radio has been hearing about new opportunities for young sporting talent to play, train and study at the Loughborough College Sport Academies.

Jenny Sugarman, who heads up the Women’s Football programme, told presenters Jim Davis and Lukwesa Burak how the College is looking forward to welcoming hundreds of athletes this weekend when they are offering the chance to get a taste of the football, rugby, basketball, volleyball and netball on offer.

“We are experts in elite performance and quality education and we’ll be giving everyone who’s coming along a feel for what they could experience at Loughborough College as they take the next step in their sport, education and career.

“And over the coming months we will be holding trials for all sports, looking for exceptional players and students to help us build on the success of our sport academies in the region and nationally.”
