A Loughborough College student says his ‘perfect’ career now beckons – thanks to his GCSE results today.

Lewis Potter was thrilled to discover he has secured the grades he needs to set him on a path into the computer industry.

“From the beginning to the end of my Maths course at Loughborough College I felt confident and that was amazing, because I had never experienced that before, “ explained Lewis, 17.

“I was given reassurance with every new skill I learnt and I got a real sense of reward with each bit of progress I made - and that was down to my teachers.

“It has made such a difference to me to have felt so happy, to be around people who have the same interests as me – learning is so much easier and much more fun.

“Getting a C means a lot to me. I can now look at moving on to an HND in ICT and from there an apprenticeship in computer programming. That is perfect for me.

‘There will definitely be some celebrating going on later.”
