Entertainment agency boss offers Loughborough College students insider insight

An entertainment agency owner has been offering Loughborough College business students an exciting glimpse behind the scenes of his business.

Bill Brookman shared highlights from a career which has included performance work for the United Nations in some of the most troubled areas of the world, alongside practical tips on growing a business.

“We presented the latest in our guest speaker programme as an interview on stage between Bill and I, with our students as a chat show audience, which they really enjoyed,” said Chris Price, who teaches Business A-level at Loughborough College.

“As well as hearing about the range of performances Bill Brookman Productions has undertaken over more than 30 years, students were also given interesting information on how Bill has used marketing and investment to develop his brand and company – the costs involved in staging and promoting a show, for example.

“He had a very valuable message on how, when you’re creating and growing your own business, it is so important to love what you do – that for him it is about passion more than profit.

“It was a great way to support the theory our students are learning in the classroom with real life insight. They were clearly incredibly engaged with what Bill had to say and were very inspired by him.”
