Loughborough College builds on international success with Hong Kong and Indonesia partnerships

Loughborough College’s international success continues to grow this week with visits to Hong Kong and Indonesia to boost partnerships.

Following hot on the heels of fully funded trips to Qatar and Bangladesh a British Council–backed trip to Indonesia sees Director of Business Development, Gemma Knott working in partnership with Semarang State Polytechnic to enhance their creative media curriculum and improve the employability skills of the courses’ graduates – with the Polytechnic planning to then send their students to Loughborough College to 'top-up' their degrees.

Gemma stopped by Hong Kong enroute to meet with key investors in Chinese education as well as new UK awarding organisation partner, Coelrind and Dongguan College to finalise plans to deliver degree pathways.

"It is a privilege to lead the International Department at Loughborough College to develop new partnerships funded by the British Council and our other key partners.

“This year alone we have developed projects in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Indonesia, which are all set to give our staff exciting opportunities, and we will soon be embarking on a further new project -this time in Panama – after winning a bid with the Association of Colleges.

“Loughborough College is already established as a preferred training provider for students and as our international success grows, so too does our reputation for offering expertise around the world for other colleges to tap into."
