Loughborough College is launching the county’s first Sport and Exercise Therapy Degree.
Drawing on sporting expertise with a global reputation and offering world class facilities, the College’s BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Therapy is Society of Sports Therapists accredited and offers students the chance to reach professionally recognized standards and become accredited members of the organization on graduation.
The new course is validated by Loughborough University and will provide the essential clinical knowledge and skills needed to assess, manage and treat sport and exercise injuries.
“We are at the heart of sport education and training recognised across the world and with sport and exercise therapists in increasing demand, we wanted to bring our well established and highly regarded expertise to this brand new degree,” said Sarah Larnder Deputy Head of Higher Education.
“Loughborough is a hot bed for sport with some of the country’s leading talents and teams based here. This will offer students an outstanding range of opportunities to gain hands on experience.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming students onto this new sport programme at Loughborough College in September.”
